George Papoulias

George Papoulias has extensive experience and a strong background in IT Service Management, Project Management, IT Audit, Cybersecurity, Risk Oversight, and ISO‑aligned frameworks. He specializes in optimizing IT operations, driving process improvements, and delivering high‑quality IT services that support and exceed organizational objectives.

With a career spanning more than three decades, he has held senior roles in Enterprise and IT Service Management, Project/Programme Management, IT Governance, IT Audit, and Cybersecurity across major banking institutions, including NBG Bank, Piraeus Bank, Citibank, and ABN‑AMRO Bank. As a Senior Business Consultant/Project Manager at Temenos Global Services, he implemented core banking systems across Europe and the Middle East.

George holds a CIS degree from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and multiple internationally recognized certifications in Leadership Excellence, Strategic Leadership, and IT Governance, Risk, and Audit. He currently serves as President of the itSMF Hellas Chapter and has previously served on the Boards of PMI Greece Chapter and the ISACA Athens Chapter Audit Committee.
